Thyssenkrupp Flow 2 Curved stairlift
The Flow 2 is O’Connor Carroll’s flagship curved stairlift.
It is our most expensive machine. But when you experience it’s benefits and features it is easy to see why it is our best selling curved lift.
The rail is a single rail. The image shows the rail mounted on the outside of the staircase. But of course the rail comes in any configuration that the client may require. As is the case with most manufactured rails for curved stairlifts.
What makes the Flow2 different is that it can climb the stairs backwards (other lifts just swivel top and bottom). This is a significant advantage as the user is no longer facing across the stairs. Thus the Flow 2 operates very successfully on very narrow stairs. It works on stairs where no other lift can operate.
Every time we are faced with an unusual staircase we know we can specify the Flow 2. No lift can match it for flexibility. If the Flow 2 is not installable we know none of our lifts will be installable.
The Flow 2 comes in manual seat, powered swivel and fixed seat versions.
Typically for any curved stairlift the time period from initial order to installation is approx. 4 weeks. As discussed above and elsewhere the rail is fabricated for each individual staircase. Once the order is given O’Connor Carroll make a site visit and conduct a camera survey. The camera survey produces a 3D drawing of the staircase. This ensures that there are no errors. The new rail always fits exactly.
Platinum Curved Stairlift
The Platinum Curved stairlift standard has a weight limit up to 120kgs (19st.) The heavy duty Platinum has a limit up to 160kg (25st.).
This lift uses a 2 rail system. It’s simple and extremely robust design make it very dependable.
The Platinum comes in a manual or power swivel version.
“Adjustable seat Back”. Effectively the backrest has adjustment to bring the seat backwards. This gives more comfort and space for a tight stairs.
The costs of curved lift vary depending on the following factors such as manual or powered swivel, length of rail, number and type of bends. Cost will also depend on the make and model of the machine.
